Hey guys, I wrote about some scammers online and how to avoid them in my last article (read it here), and today I want to warn you on one more get rich quick scheme that became really popular online.
Some countries are not into sport betting but some European countries are, and there are tons of gambling addicts here.
I will try to explain this for newbies so everyone can understand it, even those who are not into internet marketing and making money online.
Facebook Account for this Scam
Most of these scammers are scamming on Facebook because they can target relevant niche and they can reach population they want and place them their targeted ads.
One huge problem is Facebook ads policy, because they allow scammers to advertise on Facebook, so they can 100% make some money and you just can’t sue them because they do this with hidden IPs, fake Paypal accounts and fake Facebook profiles.
Most of these guys name their account with something like:
Mr. Jon Betting Tips, Bet Tips King, Free Betting Tips, and you can find million examples of them if you just search for “bet tips” in Facebook search.
You probably saw these betting ads all across the web.
How this Scam Works?
Ok, it’s easy for them to create their social accounts, to advertise, and reach targeted people, and it’s even easier to get money from them.
First, they create some Facebook post with something like:
Free 2.30 Basketball Tip Today, contact me in PM and I will send you free tip!
And when they advertise that post 50 000 people will see that post, and they will target 13-60 y/o males so they can get even better conversion rate.
So at the end of the day they will get 200 PMs with people asking them for free tips.
This is how they catch people, for example; lets say there is Nets-Clippers basketball game tonight.
Game 1:
They will take 100 people from their 200 people list (those who sent them PMs) and they will send this to 100 people:
Nets will win the game tonight they got big money to let Clippers win.
And they will send this to other 100 people from this PM list:
Clippers will win the game tonight they got big money to let Nets win.
Now, after this game one of these teams will win and 100 people will win their ticket.
Game 2:
80 out of these 100 people will come back and ask them again for some tips, but this time they will charge 50$ for their betting tip.
So 60 out of these 80 people will buy this tip, and they will again send this to 30 of them: Team 1 Wins, and they will send this to other 30 people from their list: Team 2 Wins.
So they already made 3000$ here, for like 2 days and for 1 hour of work.
Game 3:
Next thing, one of these teams will win and they will have 30 people asking them for more tips because they won with them, not once, but twice!
Now, they will charge 300$ for their tip, and they will send: Team 1 Wins to 15 people, and they will send: Team 2 Wins to other 15 people from their new list.
They made 9000$ more today, that’s 12 000$ profit in 2 days.
Game 4:
Now 15 out of those 30 people will win again, and these people won 3 times and they will pay any amount scammer ask them for, because they want more 100% fixed games, and they believe him.
Now, scammer will charge them 1000$ for tip and 6 out of 15 people who won previous game will pay for this tip.
Profit from this game will be: 6 X 1000$ = 6000$.
And again, they will send this to 3 people: Team 1 Wins and they will send: Team 2 Wins to 3 other players.
Game 5:
Now 3 people will win and this is fourth win in 5 days with this scammer, and they will probably think this guy is fucking betting guru and they already won like 10 000$ with this guy so next time 1 of those 3 players will pay 5000$ for his fixed game.
Now this is when this could end up, this 1 player can win again and pay him even more money but let’s say it’s over now.
Scammer will delete everything, Facebook account, Paypal account, Login details, everything.
Profit:
Scammer made 20 000$ in few days, and let’s say he spent 100$-200$ on ads, his profit is still 20 000$.
(all money prices and statements are average numbers from my head, but I think they are pretty correct).
There are some risks for these scammers, sometimes game will end up X, for example: 98-98 and they sent only Team1 and Team2 winning chances so they can be stopped with this ‘X’ on every game.
Every online betting tips guy use this at some point.
How they Promote this Scam, How to Avoid it?
If they work with this scam on Facebook they promote it mostly on Facebook.
Scammer will pay Facebook Ads with title like this:
” Get your free Footbal tips tonight.” or ” Win big tonight with my Fixed basketball game tip!”
After that, they promote this post on Facebook, Instagram, they even use paid ads on other sites like 9GAG, some gambling sites and Reddit.
You can often see these scammers commenting on some news portals like this:
These scammers create tons of fake Facebook profiles and they spam comments from these profiles.
That’s it for this article, I just want to warn you on these scams that can easily take any money you have when you are looking for some get quick rich schemes.
